What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store, so that it can recognise your device when you return. We use a deliberately minimal cookie set on this site.

Cookies we set

  • spk_consent_v1 — first-party cookie that records whether you accepted or rejected non-essential cookies. Expires after 180 days. No personal data is stored inside it.
  • PHPSESSID — a session cookie used to maintain CSRF protection on contact and quote forms. Removed when you close your browser.

Cookies we do not use

We deliberately avoid third-party advertising trackers, social-media "share" pixels and behavioural profiling cookies. We do not run remarketing campaigns.

Changing your preferences

You can update your consent at any time by clicking the small cog icon at the bottom-left of any page. This will reopen the consent banner so you can switch your choice. You can also delete the spk_consent_v1 cookie through your browser settings, which will cause the banner to appear again on your next visit.

Browser controls

All major browsers let you block, allow or delete cookies. Bear in mind that blocking session cookies entirely will prevent the contact and quote forms from working, because the anti-fraud token we set lives in the session cookie.

Updates

If we add a new cookie category or change durations, we will update this page and reset existing consents.
