Home › Specialist Cargo
When the shipment doesn't fit a container, we engineer one that does.
Project cargo is rarely about the move itself — it's about route surveys, permits, escort vehicles, dock crane availability and timing the tide. We co-ordinate all of it so your equipment turns up where it was meant to, when it was meant to.
One operations team, four heavy capabilities.
Our specialist desk handles the consignments that mainstream forwarders quote with a "let me check and come back." Pre-engineering, lifting plans, route surveys and permit applications are part of the standard scope — not bolt-on extras.
Where we are routinely engaged
- Project & heavy lift — transformers, turbines, mining shovels, power generation modules and refinery columns.
- Agricultural & yellow goods — combine harvesters, excavators, dozers, dump trucks and harvester headers.
- Marine & pleasure craft — cradle design, deck loading and lashing for yachts and tenders up to 28 metres.
- Oil & gas — coiled tubing units, BOP stacks, mud pumps and platform modules for Sarawak operations.
- Renewables — wind turbine nacelles, blades, towers and solar inverter cabinets.
- Studio & events — broadcast equipment, racing cars, exhibition stands and travelling exhibitions.
The route survey we do before quoting
For any movement above 3.5m wide or 25 tonnes axle load, we conduct a physical route survey or commission a drone overflight before quoting. The survey identifies overhead bridges, low cables, narrow gradients and weight-restricted culverts — the data feeds the permit application and the routing plan.
Wherever we can avoid disruption, we plan night convoys with police escort. Where unavoidable, we issue media notices to communities along the route at least 72 hours before the move.
Things our specialist team owns end-to-end
Lifting plans
Method statements, crane selection and rigging calculations signed off by registered engineers.
Route surveys
Physical and drone surveys of overhead, axle, gradient and turning constraints along the proposed corridor.
Permits & escorts
JPJ, LLM and PDRM applications, plus accredited convoy escort and on-route traffic management.
Marine engineering
Custom cradles, lashings and dunnage layouts certified by an in-house marine warranty surveyor.
Site delivery
Set-down, jacking, skidding and final positioning — handed over at the foundation, not the gate.
Insurance arrangement
Cargo all-risks placement through our underwriter network — including project, marine and stoppage cover.
Have a piece of equipment that scares your usual forwarder?
Send the dimensions, weight, origin and destination. We'll come back with a method statement and a price — not a polite "we'll see."
